Participating in the community shouldn’t be a “must-do.” It should be a “want-to-do.” It’s important to not just think of it as a community engagement or marketing assignment. Think of it as a way to build camaraderie, bridge gaps, develop people and make connections. Just because your people are doing things outside of your company’s walls doesn’t mean they aren’t growing, learning and making a positive impact on your business.
